Whether you’re a home cook or professional chef, every kitchen needs a commercial sauce pan. They are an almost all-purpose pan that can go from making signature sauces and stews all the way to cooking rice, pasta and blanching vegetables.
Sauce pans are either straight-sided or tapered. They’re shorter than a stock pots but taller than braziers. Commonly made of aluminum or stainless steel, sauce pans are extremely durable and long-lasting. We have options with silicone handles and riveted handles. Pans with a larger capacity can include helper handles to ease carrying.

Sauce pans can be used to prepare sauces, as the name suggests, but sauce pans are great for cooking pasta, rice, vegetables and more.
What type of pan is best for sauces?
It depends on which type of sauce you are preparing. Most sauces can be made in a sauce pan. However, there are pans better suited to different sauces. If you are making a delicate sauce like hollandaise, a double boiler is the best pan. For sauces that need to be reduced (thickened up by evaporating some of the water) a wide pan like a saute pan, frying pan or braiser.
